Kanji Hajimete A2 Tutor Support Course

Outline

This is a fee-based teacher support course for those who are interested in kanji, or want to start learning kanji.
Those who apply must be able to read and write hiragana and katakana, and able to attend Zoom sessions for the Group Online Lessons.
A total of 36 kanji characters will be taken up in this course (Lessons 1-9). However, one will learn not only how to read and write kanji, but also acquire information about Japanese kanji and methods on how to study. 
In addition, three Group Online Lessons will be held during the course, where we will conduct activities to reinforce what was learned in the online Self-Study lessons. The Group Online Lessons will be held via Zoom on the following Saturdays from 11:00 to 12:00 nn (Manila time): October 16, 23, and November 6, 2021.

This course has a Group noticeboard. Here you can exchange information with your classmates and teacher regarding the course.

About the student selection process

The maximum number of students for this course is 20. Participants are determined by a selection process. For those who wish to apply, please read the course outline carefully. Then, within the designated application time period, please click the 'Course Registration' button and complete the application.
The results of the selection process are scheduled to be sent through email on September 21. Please note that those who will not be selected will automatically be placed on a waitlist, of which the results will be sent through email by September 28.

Payment period: September 21 - 27, 2021
Course fee: 600 pesos
Payment deadline: September 27, 2021, 15:00 (Manila time)

For those accepted from the waitlist, payment deadline will be informed through email. Your eligibility for this course will be canceled in case payment is not received by the deadline.
Please note that cancellation after payment will not be allowed.
In the event that the course should not push through due to circumstances beyond the control of JFM, a refund will be made in accordance with regulations.

① To be able to 1) distinguish the forms, 2) understand the meanings, 3) read, and 4) write the 36 kanji characters introduced in this course. 

② To be able know the background of Japanese Kanji and the methods in learning kanji

About the Group Online Lessons

This course includes three one-hour Group Online Lessons to be held via Zoom.

Note:
・Group Online Lessons connect learners from all over the Philippines. Please do not be late. Please understand that there may be delays, depending on the connection.
・Be sure to use a computer that is connected to the internet. It is better not to participate with a smartphone, as the instructor’s screen will be shared during live lessons.

Completion Requirements

Passing Score: Score of 60 points or higher

The allocation of points is as follows:
