Hiragana A1 Tutor Support Course
Outline
This is a teacher support course for Filipinos who want to learn how to read and write hiragana.
Those who apply must be able to attend Zoom sessions for the Group Online Lessons.
Using interactive materials, you will do exercises like reading individual hiragana characters, words, and simple phrases, followed by typing exercises. There are also teaching materials to learn how to write by hand.
In addition, six one-hour Group Online Lessons will be held during the course, where one will practice reading the words and sentences found in MARUGOTO A1. Group Online Lessons will be held via Zoom on the following Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:00 am (Manila time): February 26, March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2, 2022.
This course has a Group noticeboard. You can study by communicating with your classmates and teacher through this noticeboard.
About the student selection process
The maximum number of students for this course is 20. Participants are determined by a selection process. For those who wish to apply, please read the course outline carefully. Then, within the designated application time period, please click the 'Course Registration' button and complete the application.
The results of the selection process are scheduled to be sent through email on January 18. Please note that those who will not be selected will automatically be placed on a waitlist, of which the results will be sent through email by January 25.
About payment of course fee
For those who have been selected based on the January 18 email, please make your payments through bank deposit/transfer. Bank details will be sent via email.
Payment period: January 18-24, 2022
Course fee: 1,000 pesos
Payment deadline: January 24, 2022, 15:00 (Manila time). For those accepted from the waitlist, payment deadline will be informed through email.
Your eligibility for this course will be canceled in case payment is not received by the deadline.
Please note that cancellation after payment will not be allowed.
In the event that the course should not push through due to circumstances beyond the control of JFM, a refund will be made in accordance with regulations.

This is a Tutor Support Course using the materials found in the HIRAGANA A1 Self-Study Course of the [JF Japanese e-Learning Minato] website.
The Group Online Lessons will focus on the contents of the MARUGOTO Japanese Language & Culture Starter A1 coursebook "Katsudoo".

Passing Score: Score of 60 points or higher
The allocation of points is as follows:
・Study Progress 40%
・Online Test 25%
・Reading Test 25%
・Classroom Lesson Attendance 10%
Note:
・You can take the Online Test once you have completed all of the exercises (100% Study Progress).
・You will not be issued a certificate of attendance if you do not take the Reading Test.
